Die Panamericana führt durch eine teilweise grandiose, meist aber durch eine langweilige und schmutzige Wuestenlandschaft. Wieso hier freiwillig Menschen leben ist mir ein Raetsel. Das Zentrum vermeide ich, es gelingt mir tatsaechlich, mich an der Peripherie an die Kueste nach Miraflores durch zu schlagen. Ein angenehmer Ort.

Macarà , Ecuador, 1.500 m

Hier gibt es nichts, was mich zum Bleiben reizen koennte. Muss auch nicht, die Grenze ist nah. Nachdem die Anden hinter / ueber mir liegen gibt auch die Strecke nichts mehr her.

Cuenca, Ecuador, 2,200 m

Stromausfall im Sueden Ecuadors sei keine Seltenheit. Bei meiner Ankunft war es dunkel in Cuenca.
