Walkie Talkie End Conversation

Official 3-month report

For my sending ICJA I do after 3, 6 and 12 months each to write an interim report. So I would now like to share my official 3-month report with you.

I am now for over 3 months in Indonesia and so slow I feel at home here. Before I came here, I really had no great expectations, for he who has no expectations can not be disappointed. Although I was 2 years ago have been here on a round trip, I was surprised by many things. At that time I was with my family and a large tour group. We are for the most part, remained among us, were in a vast, modern bus traveling and have stayed in Western hotels. While we have seen time in a very short time a lot, but barely immersed in the culture of Indonesia.

From the earliest days of my FSJs I have learned more about the actual culture than it was in 3 weeks. So we had to find volunteers among others surprised and somewhat frustrated that no one language is spoken in Indonesia, but over 200! Frustrated because the means for us is that we not only learn Bahasa Indonesia need, but also Javanese. The Indonesian occurs to me, fortunately very easy, I can now already overcome the most everyday conversations, and also understand more and more by more sophisticated example that Indonesian is spoken on television. Only with the Javanese, I can not make friends myself. There are 3 different proficiency levels are geared to the authority of the party and the debate, it is extremely difficult.

Fortunately, we were informed volunteers in the introduction week, courtesy of the Asian and especially about the infamous indirectness, which has preserved us especially in the beginning before many a painful situation. Nothing nevertheless we are of course still come to many pitfalls.

Darul Ulum MA My project is in the region Purwogondo in Jepara. MA stands for Madrasah Aliyah and is about to translate Islamic High School, which is a non-government school in addition to the normal subjects another special focuses on Islamic values such as Arabic or the study of the Koran. I assist the teachers in English and French lessons twice a week and offer yet an extra English course for motivated students.

I find it always still difficult to accept that the teachers take it easy when her students write an entire hour is nothing in her notebook or sleep. I always try to bring some discipline in my classes and I'm always still something special, they follow me too often. Since the students are so accustomed to something not at all but, I was in the first few weeks as extremely severe and many were afraid of me. Luckily I was then a teacher friend pointed out to me and explained how it works here, so I could change my behavior, the German directness works here that is quickly arrogant and embarrassing.

Very well I like the family atmosphere at the school. For example it is not unusual for a teacher just one of his students his house keys pressed in the hand so that he gets something for him from his house.

My fellow teachers are very friendly and have shown me the same exuberant willingness to help, I've experienced anywhere in Indonesia. I felt very comfortable from the start in my project. The students stare at me no longer now only from a distance, but often come up to me and ask me questions to class or just want to a little chat with me.

At first I was pretty disappointed that I calculated this project was awarded, it was none of the three projects on my wish list were, and the alert sounded anything but tempting to . I remember words such as "located in the countryside" and "limited public facilities (no bank, no ATM, no internet connection)" as a deterrent really, I by no means in a remote village, far away wanted to land by the City . Ultimately, I'm just glad in this project ended up to be.

Preparation in Germany by the ICJAs definitely gave me really helped me prepare for my stay here, if you prepare for an FSJ ever can.

I often think of the "cultural spectacles" and then try to see things more distant, that I had no preparation is certainly not done. Even when I write posts for my blog, I can often make use of the tips and tricks that we have received in advance of ICJA taught.

Where Acn I Cutomize My Bmx On A

a quarter rum

Since yesterday I am already 3 months now, and I still feels as if one were just three weeks ago. I would like to take this opportunity to draw an initial conclusion.

short, I'm damn glad to be here.
I like it here so much that I can not imagine not at all that the next 9 months just to go mad. Currently I know of no reason why I wanted to go back to Germany. There are so many great things to discover, so many places I want to see, so much that I do not know so much and I would like to learn more.
If I remember back before my departure that I I even thought many times that I may prefer to go into an advanced country, I can only shake his head. Especially when I think of my friends I've left behind in Germany, I am glad to have made the decision to complete a voluntary year abroad. From Germany I keep hearing from the strenuous training or community service of boring. Here, every day a new mystery that I can get out of the foreign culture, to try an unfamiliar food and meet new people. I get on with my host family and the other volunteers very well and I like my work, but I will tell them another time

I always make more progress with the language and can now almost liquid lead a conversation, assuming my Gesprächsparnter speaks clearly and no slang, ie no short cuts (which are unfortunately very popular) and no-Indonesian Jawanesisch mix. Unfortunately this is exactly the favorite style of local youth, so it always takes a bit more before I can come up with young people in conversation.

My students, colleagues and neighbors to see me more than one of them to me I lose so slowly, fortunately the celebrity status of untouchable, shiny Bule . Inzwiwschen I'm (almost) just a normal person instead of the dark-containing has skin just light skin.
While it is not always easy to refute all the prejudices and convince my fellow human beings like that one in Europe, for example, not sex every day on the open road or in Germany there are also homeless and unemployed, but I give myself every day very much trouble.

What Does Fake Onyx Look Like

slaughterhouse

came a few weeks ago I went home from the volleyball into the house, showered, ate dinner and then sat down, as so often on the terrace in front of the house. Everything normal.
I just chatted with my host cousins, when suddenly came a fearful cry. I was somewhat surprised by the intensity of the scream, but thought nothing of it, I thought it was a child playing in the neighborhood.
of a sudden I saw from the corner of my eye, like something big moving behind one of the pillars of the terrace. I looked up and suddenly saw a big cow in front of me! I was surprised it because firstly compares with a simple yes not every day a cow, and secondly, it was 20 minutes earlier when I was not there back home. I went up to the cow and found that it was tied to a tree. Shortly thereafter, I learned from my host parents that they should be slaughtered the next morning. Although the slaughter to take place in a typical Indonesian time, namely by 4 clock in the morning, I decided I miss this (possibly unique?) event not to be.
The next morning I was so full of excitement at the said time and sat down with my camera, armed to the terrace. Soon more and more men came from the neighborhood and began to prepare everything. Were connected garden hoses, sharpened knife and swept the courtyard. Then the cow was untied briefly, but only to dirket again mounted between two trees with thick ropes are. The cow was apparently completely at the end, I suspect that they somehow knew what the night would come to them.

So etwas wäre in einem deutschen Privathaushalt hard to see and for me it was a pretty intense experience. I was during the slaughter once again realize that the biggest differences between cultures are those things we take for granted.
in Germany to buy its beef steak or ground beef in the supermarket, of course, where else was broken, the animals, under the highest hygienic standards is beyond question.
in Indonesia but it is the most normal thing in the world, that one a whole, living cow buys and slaughters them yourself, simply in an atrium, on the run about 5 minutes before even chickens and goats, and children play daily.

the cow was first clamped between two trees so that they do not move anymore.

went to the severing of the carotid artery is wrong with being taken apart.

The skin was removed from the belly.

After the abdomen was opened, the intestines were removed.

Almost the whole street has helped.

Ribs were cut with an ax.

was after about 1 1 / 2 hours everything is over and that was all that was left.

Does Cmaera Flash Damage Lcd

front garden is popular sport food!

What food for the people of Indonesia? Eating is the favorite occupation of the Indonesians. When you get together - no matter what the occasion, to eat. If you come to somewhere to eat. If one has nothing to do, eat.
Since a large proportion of the population lives below the poverty line, it is very important to have something in the stomach. Food is therefore the first priority over all other pleasures. In addition, many Indonesians are still working as farmers, and it is important aufzunemhen again quickly, the energy you lost in the hard work on the field. Previously, such work in any country in the world, many more people in agriculture today, and so is this Accustomed nature of the permanent, rich food in the daily culture passed and still remained there. Even if one has a nice office job, eating will always be.

would like to better understand the importance of food I give this example: The word means the same kendut healthy and Wampe ...

Especially as a guest you have a hard time, because guests must in principle ALWAYS eat as much as possible. So it came in the first weeks is not uncommon that I totally gorged on my bed was on the one hand more constraints Eating escape and the other to me
first to recover. Even now, when my host parents, I no longer view long ago as a guest, my host mother, appears often times in a corner up and held out a huge portion, with the words: Haru dihabiskan - It must be eaten. Refuse, as always, beyond the pale, and would be considered insulting.
I must also say that the Indonesian cuisine very interesting and diverse is. Fortunately, my host mother to cook very well. There are so many different specialties and other dishes to me that I probably really need the whole year would be to try everything. So far it has
in this respect out to be a problem that I live in a Muslim family. It matters only on the table, what is halal
. The opposite of halal is haram, and haram for example pork and alcohol, so all the things that can not eat a devout Muslim. I've read once interest sake, what criteria decided is what is halal and what is not. The rules are quite complex, and in many animals is also not entirely clear whether one should eat them or not. Terrestrial animals without visible external ears, for example haram, so you may (really) eat no snakes or geckos. This restriction in the diet of course I miss some things but hopefully I can catch up somehow.
One of the other volunteers, lives in a Chinese Christian family and with her is also often times the exotic to the table just like snake, frog or pig brain.
Recently I am from a nap woke up and had the strong smell of roasting meat in the nose. I thought it was really cool, crispy bacon and saw quite a few strips in addition to a scrambled egg on my plate in front of me until I thought, that yes may be not at all ...

In Indonesia, eating rice three times a day. In every house where I was before, there is a special rice cooker, in which all day long hot rice for Verfügug stands. It is a mystery to me how he can hold all day long fresh, but somehow the device seems to be built accordingly, and the rice still tastes like after 5 hours so soon after the filling.

is given it is mostly a selection of fried dishes such as Krupuk (known in Germany by the Chinese as shrimp chips, you can do it but also of rice and chicken) or temperature (a kind of bolt from soy beans, very tasty) but also meat (often in a sauce) and vegetables.
majority of cases, in an Indonesian cuisine at least five different supplements throughout the day on the table so everyone can use whenever he wants. Rice is always there. Concerns about salmonella or bacteria-like form which, when food is open around seems to have none here. Do you have to but apparently not, so far I'm finally not even been sick.
When Indonesians get no rice to a meal is, for them this as a missed meal, no matter whether they have eaten fruit or other. They feel tired until after they have eaten their rice.

What I particularly like the diversity here in fruits. I have never seen a larger selection of fresh fruit than here in Indonesia. Half of them I've never seen before, let alone tried. It often happens that I just sit on the terrace (with great views of the endless rice fields and a huge mountain) and I gleefully dedicate a big bowl of papaya and mango, which my host mother previously (dirt cheap) bought on the market. Right now I'm eating way too casually Papaya:)
As for the local taste buds: Indonesians love the Extreme! Many things are totally sugared or very sharp. Sweet is not just sweet but often simply a block of sugar, you have to watch out for drinks. Often, one also finds sweetness in food, where one would expect little - for example, spring rolls or with soybeans. Care must also be in restaurants so on, to order drinks without sugar, because sugar is everywhere inside the skin, where it was possible (or not at all for us going). Particularly coffee was for me at the beginning of a shock. In Germany, I always drink my coffee without sugar and milk. This coffee is ALWAYS with lots of sugar and drink it with milk NIE. Milk is served very rare here anyway. Exactly the opposite of what I'm used to.

Another feature in Indonesia, the warungs . warungs are food stalls on the roadsides. Here is offered by sweet snacks to full dinner all that is absent from the local fields and kitchens. That in itself it is Warung in number calculating models. Plays just behind, on the scooter strapped on it, sometimes integrated into a bike (similar as in a rickshaw) and sometimes as a large car with a tarpaulin and seats.
Eating the warungs usually looks very interesting and delicious. However, I have my doubts in terms of Hygene. The food is often around all day at high temperatures for presentation in a kind of showcase - some of it raw. Especially with raw meat (dead chicken at a time) can get a quick doubt the Hygene. In addition, can also be like flies on the food down.

Despite all that I love to eat in warungs ! Although one every tourist and every tourist guide warned from the beginning I had no great Concerns have and just start eating, I also am not a tourist;) The food has always been very tasty and it is also especially Dirt cheap! I get such a large portion of rice with a special type of Tempe (Tempe Kering ) and some chicken for about 30 € cents. For me, right in front of the school is sold in the break always delicious Bakso , a soup with meat balls made from chicken, the portion for less than 10 cents! I have now eaten dozens of times in such warungs and was not even sick. But I must admit that I am the only one so far of all the volunteers who have was not sick ...

A few days ago was killed in my yard and a cow from the neighborhood, the next entry I will upload some pictures.

We had really good weather and were able to turn some quick laps on the short version of the Nürburgring. Unfortunately, it was initially the last time this year it went to the scooter.

game preparation begins in 2011. The bike gets a few tweaks to the suspension, a Quick action throttle, other handlebar and waits technically complete. Thus, it can then go back next year at the start.

On Dexedrine Need Help Sleeping

final German production sports championship

So, this Saturday it was so far and the final of the German Sport Series championship was imminent. It could have been so nice, but unfortunately the weather was not optimal. During the two time trials on Saturday morning we were lucky because the Sun out and the track was not wet. In the afternoon it started to rain, but unfortunately on. Nearly all participants started with dry tires. After about half of the race from the track dried, so that I could finally put my over-cautious driving style and increase my pace significantly. But unfortunately I tried Aufholjagt came a little late, so that at the end of the 10th bedauerlichweise only Enough room. Satisfactory, however, were my times that I could achieve in the final phase of the race.

Last but not least. . .
unfortunately now we are left no other choice than to wait until the German standard sports-Cup 2011 starts again. Up then, this year only a test and set-MSC Porz is at the Nurburgring in the program.

testing and Einstellfahrten at the Nurburgring by MSC Porz

On Friday, the testing and set-MSC Porz were at the Nurburgring. We were very lucky with the weather, it was bright blue sky and we had about 35 ° C.

I'm in the "fast group" down, because there happen to fewer falls than in the other two groups. It was may be a little full, but otherwise it was great. With me, everything went great and the bike worked acceptably. Now it is up to Hockenheim is a brief pause. At Hockenheim, then there is the season's final series of the German Sports Cup 2010.

Here are a few pictures of the P & E are driving on the ring.
