How Much Does It Cost To Make A Roll Toilet Paper

CUENCA, Ecuador

Cuenca , Ecuador, 2.200 m

Manchesmal seemed to me the view breathtaking, which could not be because of the rain or fog. My altimeter showed almost 4000 meters. Aha, so.

power outage in the south of Ecuador is not uncommon. When I arrived it was dark in Cuenca.

Baños, Ecuador, 2,000 m

In Quito has soled Fernando and his crew the new Yami. Was urgently necessary. That cost for assembly and Motorradwaesche about a third of the tire price in Germany.

He advised me, through the Andes, not to drive along the coast to Peru and to make a trip to Baños, because of the distance and the beautiful view of the volcanoes. Much to see there was not, however, because of rain clouds, windboengetriebenen sand clouds, or tiefhaengenden. A few km of the trail to be built. A good opportunity to test the Gelaendetauglichkeit the new tires. Today, deep sand on the program.

Baños is built on an intermediate plateau.

The sugar water production from left to right. Sugar cane - peeled, washed - in the press - sugar water in the bottle, ready. Next step: Rum

Quito, Ecuador

The border crossing into Ecuador is a special experience. A rollercoaster of methods. The exit from Colombia is quite simple, the customs officer is very friendly and helpful. Not 10 minutes. Then, Ecuador. There, it costs no money, only time and nerves. All present borders makes a very important face. Nothing else. Even on appeal and asking for information they were only in one direction: 'aqua', / 'da'. One had the entry forms in hand, she could not deliver, because he was just cleaned the shoes. The shoeshine boy was fast. The responsible person (the being looked so) for the import permit for my bike took an hour to fill out the form on the computer. Together we made it as fast as he could do with the German papers, nothing. Finally, we have compared to his order, each entry character by character, before he dismissed me with a hand-waving. However, there was a man.

On the south side of the earth!

Quito shortly before I run over the equator. No one's noticed. Previously, I had asked some Ecuadorians to the equator. She replied blankly, that I was already in Ecuador. You do not know that their country is named after him. For them there is only the Latitudo Zero = 0 Latitude.

Panamericana is now less spectacular than yesterday, but windy. To the 0th Latitude is blowing in a gusty wind that Yami can sometimes violently swinging through the bends. My folding helmet is not completely closed, which caused different depending on the position of the head noises. I have invented a new musical instrument: The Andean organ. Because of the ubiquitous overtaking oncoming traffic at blind turns, unfortunately I can not concentrate on my compositions. In Quito I think

Fernando workshop. It leaves me now with tires, looking for hotel (it's raining, clear). On this occasion I get two finally have a rain suit. My dear Rukka suit is for my work useless. A bad buy. In addition I will discuss in more detail in my final criticism. Who wants to have before my report, may be by email to contact me, before he / she spends a lot of money for a product that holds only limited promise to advertising.

Ipiales , Colombia

Here are impressions of Popayan.

On the way to the south I meet Stephan Steven from Germany and from England with their BMW 1200GS. They bought their motorcycles in Venezuela, ride it in stages through South America. Let them stand at the end of the stage, continuing their journey when they leave and return money. The 'easy ride' with the two he really enjoyed it. Yami can compete with the 'Gummikuehen' locker. The landscape vermittelt einen grandiosen Eindruck.

In Ipiales, near the border with Ecuador, separate our paths. You do still cross the border. I make a side trip to Las Lajas (no, not again in Panama). The village is built in the gorge

Good Phrase For New Job

day of rest. Lubricate outer chain and some follow on Yami is to do nothing. A laundry would be necessary, but I would have to return about 2 times a 25 cm high curb. No, perhaps on Monday. Both tires are completely finished, but to Quito (about 600 km from here) think they have yet.

The tour shows the white city already in Weihnachtsstimmung.

Popayàn , Colombia, 1.800 m

Zum ersten Mal in den Anden. Auf der Strecke Giradot - Neiva - San Augustin - Coconuca - Popayan ging's zunaechst auf der Hochebene (1.700 m) zwischen 2 der 3 Anden-Gebirgszuege to Neiva, then in the eastern Andes to San Augustin. All at a relatively good road, with one exception: The human race will again harassed by Topes (speed bumps). Friendly / pleasant run the police and military checks. There will still be guerrillas. Every time I surrounded by the whole corona, and answer their questions astonished. One is always there, which obviously keeps me completely crazy for. If they have enough demand, I may continue with their good wishes. The track between San Augustin - Coconuca - Popayan is located on my map as the best road. Of the 130 km over the pass at 3,000 m height of 110 km are not even under construction! Pure material testing. For the first time in weeks, it's raining today not. So I create the distance (130 km) in 3 hours. Need 12 trucks, buses and off-road car 7th Just in time before dark I'm coming. Tomorrow is the first time Yami Inspection announced. Incredibly, what endures. A nice day with driving fun and magnificent Hochgebirgsausicht comes to an end.

SO zeigte die Karte.

So the sketch

the Tourist Information in

San Augustin.

The thin Lines are roads under construction, then there are gravel roads or planned, then was paved prior years' time a path through the landscape, now to deal only with Passenger vehicles.

The road was so good that I chose to not hold. 'Keep on running' was the motto. Therefore there are landscapes only in my memory.

While there whole sticks of pure salt exist, the purged 'just' yet gepuhlt from the mountain / is, here's the salt in thin wires supported between more diverse rock. To win a ton of salt, it must be of 20 tons Gestein gespuelt werden, das zuvor aus dem Berg gebrochen wird. Muehsam, oft toedlich. Darum die Religiositaet.

I'm Yami again. With 'NEM taxi and the air way bill to the International Cargo Terminal. Where can I get more papers. With which I have to inch in the national freight terminal that can explain to me none. After half Hour I have more papers. Back to the International Terminal (1 km). There is Yami. A few more stamps and signatures, and I may go with it wherever I want, almost. The only way out for us by the people over the entrance stairs (1 m)! Barely outside it's raining buckets again. The drive through Bogota is a dream for masochists. Everywhere is built. This is sorely needed. Nevertheless, I am always surprised by ugly holes in the road. In the city the same bus as before chaos in the larger cities. Exhaust filters do not know. The dirt is filtered by humans and animals.

Now I drive the route Las Lajas - Panama City itself, and from there to the new airport. First, I give Yami from the freight company in the cargo terminal. This is surprisingly simple. I can leave everything to the bike, just wondering if my tank was empty. No one checks this by taxi, by a place which is actually only be described as a slum, to the passenger terminal. This is new and provides a maximum contrast to the surroundings of the airport.

The lady of the house wants the agreed price for a day. I give her the half, the next day looking for a cheap place to stay.

Why this place is called 'Ciudad' (= town), carries me has not yet been developed. It rains continuously for lunch, as most of the week. This is absolutely nothing going on at all. Whether it's is the weather? The trip here went over the mountains (2000-3000 m altitude) was Troedel for the same transport, wet and cold. I have only one set of dry laundry, dry the clothes do not have to tomorrow I'll probably look for a laundry with dryer. Part sporig already smells. Warum macht Jimbo so was? Liegt vielleicht an seiner Kundschaft.

Granada, Nicaragua

I am a bit gestromert by Granada.

The city does not as a sad impression as Leon and the others crossed places. It is a shame that only a criminal family and then the CIA-backed Contras with this beautiful country and friendly people have made.

And I did something that I would not previously have dreamed: I'm Harley down.

But it was nice with 3-Finger Jim. He is a US-Ami from Alabama. He lives here because he, as he says, can live in freedom, is a gifted chef of Cajun cuisine as well as classic rock and country musicians.

Nor pothole searches that were just there, always and everywhere, no sense to want to avoid them. Soon I had the bow 'out. Simple go with 100 things straight and let the Yami do the rest. For my spine, it was the best. To Yami I was already worried me, but she has mastered the ordeal well. The mill excited me more and more what endures everything! In Granada tighten a few screws, that's it. If that's just so people would simply.
