What Are Florida Pearls Worth

THE END

29.01. to 05.02.2010, 187 to 194th Days

Buenos Aires, Argentina

@ Frank: Happy Birthday Birthday!

The preparation for shipment of the Yami grows into a drama in several acts. Plus, I find a German Frachtfuehrer in Hamburg, with whom I the entire range of customs clearance in Germany and Argentina, the packaging, shipping, unloading system in Hamburg and to your door at a fixed price agreement. So I'm not here to blackmail, not monetary. Minus: The business partner in BA. These people have no plan. It is no organization, not of servitude, not of information accuracy, not by love of work, no nothing. Everything, absolutely everything I have to laboriously pull those from the nose, to verify the claim gegenpruefen, ask, clear up contradictions, ask again, but planned to pursue events that have occurred. After 4 days (excluding weekends) Yami is in transit through the customs warehouse. Without the "care" by the customs and freight forwarding agents, I would have had less hassle and annoyance. The whole would be easy to do in a day. From the initially advised departure on the 07:02 is finally 12.02. I'm concerned, in Germany it is cold. What I want here? In the final criticism, I will put this 'company', should not be a call-by name and detailing my experiences.

In connection with other statements and his experiences of other travelers, however, it seems that this Arbeitsmentalitaet typical of Argentina to be. Now I understand the decline of the economy here. Also I would invest a cent in this country. My impression is reinforced by the fact that I, than the tires, they want to sell me happy, but do not mount - get here NO replacement parts. Yamaha - Dealer only sell motorcycles, accessories and clothing. Spare parts are there in other shops, will be repaired again elsewhere. Only, nobody wants to get parts for my Yami, is it in America not to buy, so no parts - so that any excuse. In the other Latin American countries themselves were the dealers and also the respective Yamaha warehouse not too bad to have the pieces to acquire. Argentina did not need this.

In the Hostal have to confirm every day that you want to stay, you have not already paid in advance, otherwise the room / bed away!. Debt is of course the guest. This' kiss-me-am-Arsch'-mentality gets on my mind. William, you're still German! Sigh.

Whether it's up to these experiences and the resulting anger, the city does not appear to me as attractive, as described everywhere? One can compare it architecturally with Paris or Rome, yes. But there it is not degenerate Sun Green plants are a rarity in BA, the rivers seen and smelled toxic. And there are very few real sights. The laissezfaire would enjoy life on the rankings I would like to have, in my mind not fixed on the idea that all human life is one tango dream. Always on the run from work and responsibility towards the physical pleasure and dreams. The party offer is huge. Just what a Opa-Rocker consumption.

What do I now, without my Yami, with rebellious knuckles? Bus and train travel. In the district of La Bocca, and San Telmo in BA See, Iguacu Falls are still on the program, perhaps Brazil. Rio abschminken I can, there are currently no rooms, and the carnival begins there on 10.2.

Well, folks, I have just realized that my bike trip is now over. Actually I wanted to go over Cape Town, South Africa by Africa home, it says Ralf and Katrin copy from Hamburg ('re greeting is 2, you have my appreciation, especially Katrina - you know why). But my foot injury seems serious than to be 'decided'. So I can forget this part (at first). Not a good feeling. And the end of the itinerary of this blog . After my return to Germany, sometime around the end of this month I will set the final review here. Then looks back in, if necessary. Until then, it does well. Thank you for the nice comments and emails. Rejoice with me warm on a motorcycle summer. Freedom on the moped I will enjoy as long as is practicable the nature and extent of the close relations in Europe.

eat all day kilometers. There will always be hot (and damp under the robe). The landscape is consistently boring, the traffic is dense and aggressive, the famous Route 3 in part pretty bad. Before I take BA

the toll highway. Here, too nervous to justify paying more than the costs. The arrangement of the one-way streets in BA is idiotic. No system. But red shaft. Yami cook, me too. I am looking for a hostel in the district of Palermo. After 3 hours, circle drive, I find it. Yami shows constantly overheating, but still runs. Those who go with me ist, muss leidensfaehig sein. Die Schadensliste der Yami nimmt einige weitere Punkte auf. Dringend ist eine Reparatur / Wartung angesagt. In BA sollte das kein Problem sein.

Bahia Blanca, Provinz Buenos Aires, Argentinien

Wieder solo.

I would have liked a few meters left in his company, we take the same 'Strich'-but I am drawn to Chile not now. It is expensive and more European than Latin American. After Europe, I must still early enough.

It is hot. Yesterday morning still fresh 15 ° C, I grill today at 35 ° in the motorcycle dress. Since Baja California, Mexico for the first time on this summer trip.

Trelew, Patagonia, Argentina

Like every talk, they want to.

In Trelew, we find a place to stay with a nostalgic restaurant. It could be a Viennese cafe. Even the waiters are effective. One can ask what you want, they know it. Somehow comfortable.

pleasant contrast to our previous experience with Argentinean information. A majority of us were friendly and with many words, how then sent out to-go somewhere, so they are got rid of us, without being forced to admit that they do not know. Meanwhile, I ask at least 3 times before I follow the target information.

This and the presence of live animals on the roadside makes me more worried than the wind. The used to it. But not to keep the pain in the neck, arms and hands, the muscles have to do heavy work around the moped on track. Anyone who loves Patagonia, love can be stormy.

Cerro Sombrero, Feuerland, Argentinien

In brilliant sunshine we have been cycling the 300 km from Ushuaia to the border with Chile in 3 hours. Then, the positive impression left by the Zoellner at the first border crossing, destroyed: For obvious organizational incapacity of the Argentine border, we were for departure from Argentina stayed more than 3 hours.

Once there I had my first self-driven register plates on the front wheel. After 15 minutes of newly-inflated tire was again under pressure. Several sources said there would be near several Reifenreparaturwerkstaetten that would have also opened on Sunday.
