Review Schleiz

Im Großen und Ganzen war Schleiz super. Fangen wir einfach mal am Freitag an.

Freitag:

Die Hinfahrt dauerte leider sage und schreibe 7 Stunden. Das Schlimmste am Freitag war, das ich mich kurz vor Abfahrt noch aus meiner Wohnung und meinem Auto ausgeschlossen habe. Nachdem ich mein eigenes Auto aufgebrochen hatte, konnte die Fahrt nach Schleiz endlich los gehen. In der Schleiz angekommen erfuhr ich bei der Papier-Abnahme erst einmal, dass der Veranstalter mich in die falsche Klasse gesetzt hatte und mir auch noch die falsche Nummer gegeben hatte. Ich sollte nicht die Nummer 695, sondern 595 bekommen. Nach der Papier Scrutineering & I built my first place on the paddock.

Saturday:

Now it was finally time: my first endurance test in the Sports Series was in order.
My conclusion after the first endurance test was positive. I managed in the first endurance test was made 20 laps and had all survived unscathed. What
unfortunately in the second endurance test at noon was not the case. After three laps my rear wheel lost in the first right turn after the start and finish his grip and it went straight into the field. At first I thought, I start the bike yet but then it was already happening: I was with the SV in the dirt. My account of the damage: 3-4 cracks in the fairing and a broken pedal, which should prevent me from proceeding further.
After the endurance test, Part 2 was over, we went back towards the paddock.
There was only once in the repair of the damage. Luckily I had a little help from Heinz von Heru Carbontec. He repaired the trim still in place.

Sunday:

was repaired after all I could get the race now. Unfortunately the weather on Sunday was anything but stable. Two hours before our race in the class 5 it started to rain and listened to before an hour it again. Now began the question of questions, what you drive now for a tire. 20 minutes before the start I decided to go ahead for a rainy Conti tires and rear for the Conti Race Attack soft. And tire choice paid off. The route began during the race continues to dry, but would be normal for tires was too wet. Final, it was enough for 6th place If the failure in the 2nd endurance test was not, I would not have even withdrawn from the competition. But I am totally satisfied with my first participation in the production sports. I had not expected such a result.

Now come the next race in Oschersleben.
